Thing #9 Lifelong Learning

Learning is a lifelong process that keeps on going until you are dead or melted. The Wicked Witch is no more because she refused to learn that she was stuck in a rut and needed to continue her education. Dorothy on the other hand just needed to trust in herself to find the way to home was always withing her grasp. This is why she was able to complete the 7 1/2 habits...

1. She began her journey with the end in mind, to get back home to Auntie Em...
2. She accepted the responsibility of taking her friends with her...
3. Along the way they viewed the problems as a challenge to the final goal...
4. She was confident that if they reached the Wizard that she would go home....
5. She created her own learning toolbox by taking friends, Toto, a basket, an oilcan...
6. She used a bucket of water(the only technology she had) to melt the witch...
7. She taught the others that they need to believe in themselves to get what they needed most...
7 1/2. She skipped along the yellow brick road singing along the way until she arrived at the Emerald City, only to find that the RUBY SLIPPERS were the answer all along...

I did visit Web Junction, looked at all the courses found a few I was interested in.
I think it would be most fun to take the course with some other people as a group.
Two I like best were "Copycat Cataloging & "Weeding is not an Option"

One more thing to go but that as the say "IS A HORSE OF A DIFFERENT COLOR!"

Thing # 8 Online Apps

Online Apps
1. Online apps seemed to be something that would work for most patrons.
2. The video was informative and funny as always.
3. Having this application may be good for shared projects at work or even to use at home.
a. I loved the address labels that you can make yourself.
b. Also thought that a debt calculation chart might be interesting.

I was not able to use the link created to get into google doc Lynn provided so I am not sure if I would like it or not.
I have however been using the tracker for my team, which is a shared google doc and I think it works pretty well.

For YS a shared doc for SR Job list would be good. Everyone could long on when they finish a task and then we would keep track of those without checking on everyone.

On the "extra" I play to the 5th level then got stuck so gave up, which is pretty good since I don't do games.
